Nor'wester Auto Rally, 1970

Summary:  For the first time the rally concentrated on the eastern slopes of the Cascades.  Friday overnight in Centralia and Saturday overnight in Ellensburg.  This year, with increasing press coverage, Seattle television station KOMO (ABC) filmed parts of the rally for their "Exploration Northwest" program.  Nor'wester was also voted "Best Rally of the Year" in the Northwest (the first year for such an award).  Observed by the SCCA for national sanction.  The prize fund was $900, and entries numbered 48.
